Crimson & Whipped Cream Bakery
Norman, Oklahoma
[Freelance 2008]

A pastry chef from Brooklyn asked me to design a bakery in an old Norman, Oklahoma space located near a University. The space was entirely gutted-out having only four cmu/brick walls. The owner wanted to keep it simple and eco-friendly, as well as incorporate the old charm of the surrounding buildings. I used a brick for the bar that matched the existing brick walls that had been previously plastered over, tables from a Brooklyn company made of upcycled bowling lane wood floors, recycled glass tile for the restrooms, and handmade mason jar pendant lights which suspend from a tin celing.
