ABOUT ME

My childhood took place in the greenbelt of Austin, TX where I had access to a vast amount of nature to explore and could drink fresh water from the springs. The second half of my upbringing brought me to the suburbs of Oklahoma City, OK where I recognized a stark difference in sense of place and felt a missing sense of belonging for the first time. This experience led me to start my studies in Architecture and Design to explore how spatial settings can impact our human experience.

I graduated with a five-year accredited Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma in 2005 which included a summer abroad studio in Rome, Italy. I have gained over 18 years of experience including work in luxury residential high-rises in NYC, corporate interiors and new corporate campuses with some of the largest tech firms in Silicon Valley including Salesforce, Workday and Google. I have also worked with global big name architecture firms including Heatherwick Studio, Vincent Van Duysen and Pritzker Prize winners SANAA and Christian de Portzamparc. Other sectors I have worked in include hospitality, elementary schools, the government/military sector, and single-family estates in the cities of San Francisco, Oklahoma City, New York City and Santa Barbara.

I am fascinated with all things in nature and find it to be my largest source of inspiration. In conflict, I appreciate all things technology in order to create the processes and systems that allow us to be better and more efficient designers. Time is my most valuable asset, in which I am always trying to optimize to spend time with my two children, husband and Italian greyhound at my current home in the foothills Santa Barbara, CA.
